            Does live speed tests with 2,000 retailers in Chennai


Chennai, May15, 2015:  Taking its ongoing ‘Speed is Good’ campaign on ground to the people of Chennai, Vodafone India, one of India’s leading telecommunications service providers’ today undertook a major Speed Test drive reaching out to 2,000 Telecom Retailers across the city. 500 Vodafone employees fanned out across the length and breadth of Chennai today, meeting Retailers and taking them through a Live Demo of Vodafone’s Faster, Smarter, and Better 3G network.

Vodafone ‘Speed Challenge’ was carried out with an intent toshowcase the factual speed and efficacy of Vodafone’s data services and give Retailers a live experience of Vodafone 3G vis-à-vis competition. Every retailer who participated in the initiative was presented a ‘Speed Test’ certificate by Vodafone.

Vodafone’s ‘Speed is Good’ campaign is based on the findings ofOokla (global leader in broadband testing and web-based network diagnostic applications) speed test data conducted during the period September 2014 to February 2015, which certified  Vodafone 3G offers22% faster download, with 43% faster upload and 23% faster page-load experience.

Participating in the Speed Challenge and connecting with Retailers, S. Murali, – Business Head – Tamil Nadu, Vodafone India said, “The continued surge in smartphone sales have lead to a synergistic demand for high speed and reliable data connectivity.
