Most of the academic administrators are inclined towards teaching and research. But yet during the course of time they find themselves in senior administrative posts as Director, Principal, Heads of Department, Dean, Registrar, etc. There is little formal preparation for the job and very little opportunity of renewal. But, now territory is getting larger more complexes and more challenging day by day. So it is imperative to develop managerial competence in education administration”.
